    Thumbs up Waiting on my Tour, in the meantime...

    I have been hearing about two issues and would appreciate any and all feedback:

    1. Trackball - Is this a problem on most Tours, the very early ones, or is it hit and miss?

    2. WiFi - This is my first blackberry so relatively new to all this, but is a lack of WiFi really an issue?

    The trackball seems not to be an issue on the latest batch. There is rumor that RIM fixed the problem. My first Tour overheated so I had it replaced and got one with a bad trackball. I returned it and waited for w ahile. The new one I got has no issues. No screen ripple, no trackball problems and no loose back cover. Best of all it doesn't feel like it has been baking in the oven after 5 minutes of use.

    WiFi is not a big deal unless you live in or travel to an area where you have no cell service but have WiFi access. My Pre had WiFi and I never used it so not a big issue as long as you have coverage.
    You have very successfully added 2 and 2 together and gotten a beaver. You're so far off the mark you've left numbers altogether and entered into addition with mammals.

    Regardless of what people say, get the Tour. "In the meantime....." you should read through as much as you can.

    When I got my tour from the verizon store I asked for the latest manufactured one. The date on the box says aug 18. NO trackball issue AT ALL.

    lovelyinpink - I am actually getting two of them; ordering them from Verizon so hopefully they have gotten the bad one out of their inventory.
