Going from the curve 8330 to the storm was pretty bad. Going from the storm to the tour is even worse though.
I have the phone sitting on the desk right in front of me and I received a text. I didn't even hear the thing vibrate and I didn't feel any movement on the desk. I also missed 2 texts while it was in my pocket.
It's sad because I never use ringtones / sounds it's always on vibrate.
Well I changed my profile and set it to long vibrate but it still seems weak to me. I will write an application to test it out and see if there is an issue or not.
i have had 4 curves and the vibrate on the fresh NIB one was pretty decent (my htc touch pro vib function is hella strong and much more so than the curve). however. i am on #4 refurb curve and the vib is a hum... not strong at all. now if you put it on something it will make a noise when vibbin' but you cant really feel it.....
Now that would be something to see !!! LOL, and yeah i dont have this problem man , i think its your phone or your settings , mine buzzes like crazy compaired to my girls 8330 , so i would test it with another 9630 and see if its a problem with the phone
The vibrate on my Tour is also VERY week. I'm used to my Curve in my pocket inside of the leather sleeve and you can still feel and even hear it vibrate.
Now that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is out, don't let all of the complaints that people make about the phone get you down. MOST of it is relative and unique to the person's preferences. For example, someone made a post about the vibrate being to their dislike. Well, the next person my like it.
Oh man this is a little disconcerting. I can say that the Storms sucked and barely vibrated. I loosened up the hex screws to do the screen fix and all of a sudden the vibrate on the Storm is hella strong.
Im hoping the Tours is as strong or stronger or that will be extremely disappointing. I can hear the vibrate on the Storm in the morning and I use it on vib so when my wife calls or texts it wakes me up.
After charging for about 2 hours the vibrate is much better now.

oh, glad to hear it. i was getting rather concerned (i won't be getting a tour for a little while longer) about the vibrate, cause it's a decently important feature to me.
i'll keep that in mind when i get mine, thanks
The vibration on my Tour is pretty weak. Hopefully leaving it on the charger for awhile will solve that issue, but my Curve was definitely two-to-three times stronger than the Tour in my hands, and the battery is fully charged on both.
