Verizon's Order Processing

Verizon's website shows the following for the status of my order: Your order is awaiting approval or phone availability. Please check back in a few days.

So is Verizon going to do all the processing (credit approvals, charging credit card, etc.) the day they ship the phones? If they wait until the last minute then some of us might not even get the phone shipped on the 13th. Does anyone know?

Everything is likely shut down for the Holiday weekend. Things will start rolling again Monday.

I ordered my phone on Friday and had the same message. It will probably say that until the day that it ships. We'll see...

as I stated in another thread..

company's aren't typically able to charge you for something until it ships or right before it does..

I talked to a rep... and asked if we rec'd a confirmation number does that mean we're approved for the phone- her words, "yes, but no charges will take place until the phone is shipped." I added a second line the day the pre order was posted and had no issues. I got the same message and an email verifying my order so I'm assuming it's just a matter of days, waiting patiently
