I just saw this on their website and was surprised with the price drop since it has only been out a few weeks. I am hoping they do the same for Sprint since I just got my Tour 3 days ago.
Is it $99 for adding a new line to an existing plan (such as a family plan)? Or is it only for entirely new accounts?
That's not the case, at least here in NC. The launch price of the Tour was $199 for upgrades or new contracts for the first week the phone was out and the price then dropped to $149 on a 2-year upgrade or renewal. I haven't seen or heard anything about the price being $99 here. What area are you finding the phone for $99??
Hmm If a person has a family shared plan and one of the number is up for a new phone (not the primary), I wonder can I get that from BB @ 99.99 for that number?

Just change the primary line to the one up for the upgrade... you can flip flop primary all you want.
Its not a price drop. I bought mine three days after it came out at the Verizion store and it was 99$. I got my girl one for 99$ and mine was a upgrade for 149$. And i live in Charlotte, NC

Negative.
That's exactly what I did. I'm on a family plan with two others and they were eligible for upgrade but I'm not up yet until October. My number is the primary line. So we re-upped my fiance's line, got the tour for $150, did a few ESN swaps and everything was back to normal. She had her phone, I had my Tour and can still get an upgrade in October. Not that I'd want to
