I just got off the phone with verizon tech support, they said that blackberry recommends a daily-battery pull for Tour devices... i think this is a bit much, but she told me that i have to do that to ensure my phone works the best.
I had to call support b/c today i haven't gotten email and my batter drained in 6 hrs with full 3g service... oh well...
Huh.. I never to a battery pull unless I install an OS or app that requires it... My battery lasts 12 hours+ on weekdays and lasts the whole weekend till Monday morning... Make sure you have no extra background apps running...

Lulz? Wow you must never use the damn thing. Literally!
I got my Tour in October. I've only done one battery pull.
When I had my Storm I did a battery pull a day. Sometimes 2 or 3 a day too. My Tour has run like a champ. Night and Day difference between the Storm and Tour.

Quickpull set to do a restart everynight at 4am, works perfect and Tour runs perfect since August - absolutley no issues or complaints!! Try it - you will like it!
I have to agree. I use the quick pull nightly. Not sure if my Tour "needs" it everyday, but no lockups or issues so far. No need to change my routine now.
Is there a difference from a battery pull "physically removing the battery" for let's say 20 seconds, and just hitting the alt, shift, delete as a reset?
I typically do the alt, shift, delete after installing or deleting apps etc...

Over 200 texts per day average.. I use it alot... But all I do is text and email. I have everyone I know texting and email.. I refuse to waste my time talking unless I'm in the office ... I also keep bluetooth off unless I'm in the car...
My understanding of the alt rightshift delete is that is like a warm boot (like on a PC, ctrl alt delete) and the battery pull is like turning the PC off and back on (cold boot). Sometimes you have to do a cold boot, but most of the time, warm works. Rather than daily, I think a more reasonable approach is to check your memory daily (options>status>file free) and see if you are down lots of memory from the last restart, then restart.
