I have seen similar threads about this topic, but my issue seems to be unqiue from what I've read thus far. This problem is intermittent, and I have not identified any commonalities between instances of the problem.

I receive a text message, and see the preview appear when I open 'Messages'. When I open the new message, the line where it should appear is blank.

-The issue has only occurred with one contact that I receive messages from frequently, so far.
-My carrier Verizon, and so is the contact referred to above
-I checked my device memory and it is currently at 77,xxx,xxx
-SD card memory is low, however. Presently there is .4 gb left on the card.
-I have tried a battery pull to see if it would reload the message when the device came up, but that has not worked.

I have the same issue from time to time. Usually if I have a long thread going. If I close the thread, and reopen it, the text usually shows up.
