| | unlocked BB Tour on at&t
The lcd screen was broken on my wifes BB Tour form Verizon, so she got herself a new curve a week after my HTC-P4600 took a dump.
After doing a little reading I saw changing out the LCD was fairly easy..
Make an already long story short- I fixed the phone- unlocked & now use in on my at&t acct. I installed a Hybred O/S-
my question is is there anyway to get rid of the Verizon splash screens during bootup/shutdown & change it a custom one?
TIA
.

There are 2 things - 1 is "Blackberry unlocking" which is simply removing the SIM lock set on the device and making it a SIM free Blackberry that can "read" GSM sim cards and connect to other GSM carriers, to unlock Blackberry a MEP unlocking code is needed and it's done by the IMEI and the MEP ID set on the device.
What you are asking is removing the load screen that is part of the original carrier branding, removing it is called "Blackberry un-branding" and it's not done by a code or something like that, it's dealing with the device memory and programs and basically it's hacking your phone - if you don't know how to do it, well it can be a real pain sometimes
