    Is there a way to remove the character limit for sending SMS messages, i'm so sick of having to stop, send a new one, then start again?

    Also is it worth upgrading from OS 4.7.1.40?

    No there isn't.

    There are some third party apps for this.


    And "worth upgrading"? What does that exactly mean to you? Everyone's threshold of "worth" will be different. Is the device working for you?

    Beyond160 is the app you want - it is a pay for application, but worth it. I believe it can be gotten from here, but if not, then app world has it.

    One other solution is MMS. If I have to send a text and feel it is going to be over 160 characters, I just compose a MMS instead of a SMS. Voila! MMS isn't restricted to 160.
