I downloaded OS 5.0.0.230 and when I open BB Desktop Manager, it finds an update, except it's OS 4.7.1.57. How do I get it to recognize the 5.0 update that I have repeatedly installed?! I even uninstalled anything that had to do with 4.7.1 but it keeps finding it. Thanks

What version of DM are you using? Current is 5.0, so if you have an older version upgrade that. If you're still having trouble you can download the upgrade from here BlackBerry® Software Updates and follow the instructions to install.

I'm using 5.0, and thanks for the link but I have a Sprint Tour, although I almost got Verizon. Anyways, I'll look for BBSAK and see how it works. Any other suggestions?

Haha no problem.
I'm new to Blackberry's, came from a Palm Pre and iPhone 3GS and my dad also got a Tour the other day. I'm downloading BBSAK so I hope that works.

wow jlsparks, i downloaded your link, but that is 4.7 NOT 5.0. I had previously downloaded the 5.0 (with problems, see my post) and now I've got to redownload the 5.0.... get the current stuff right!!!

Before you hook up your phone to the computer try disconnecting from the internet. Then plug your phone in and run desktop manager. Once its updating you can connect the cable back into your router and hook up to the internet again.
