I think I'm getting a Tour this week. I currently have an 8830.

The PIN stays with the BB, correct?
So if give this BB to a friend, and BBM contact sends a message, it goes to the 8830 until BBM contact updates their friend list, correct?

Do I use the backup from the 8830 to give all the same information to the Tour? Or do I just do a install of the DM, then set up the sync and then do the sync?

Yes the PIN does stay with the BB you will get new one with the tour just wipe your 8830 before you give it to our friend.

I would use DM and do the device switch to transfer all your info and settings.
