So ive seen the Blackberry "Essex" and i really like the idea of an optical trackpad. Since the form-factors and sizes of the 9630 and the 9650 are pretty much the same, would i be able to do a little transplantation and give my 9630 the trackpad treatment? I think i can do it....i have the technology.

Nope... It's not just a hardware fix (not only that but the mainboard is probably different too).

this has been discussed a few tims already on here. There is no way to do it.

If you want a trackpad, you might have to wait until the Essex comes out and buy the phone
