Sorry I hate to create a new thread, but is everyone else having problems like this? 18 seconds to scroll across when typing a message. I tried a battery pull/wiping the device.
Here is the video:

Wow that is really bad. Definitely return it.

MCRunning, not to be mean, but no trouble shooting is going to fix this.
Your honest best bet is to get back to Verizon and get yourself a working device.

Have you checked the "Trackball Sensitivity" in the Screen/Keyboard options screen?? Set it to 80....or there-abouts.

If you placed FULL media folders back on the device from your copy, did that include the Thumbnail.dat files (not their full names). Those files may be specific to the device or OS version. Erase them and allow the media to be re-indexed and see if that helps.

I think maybe your scroll sensitivity may be down way too low. No matter how fast you scroll the trackball, it will only go as fast as your setting allows it. Have you tried going into your options>screen/keyboard and played with the settings?

Just seems like a bad trackball, either something got in it, such as dirt sand or anything, or one of the rollers is lose. Simple exchange and it's done.

The problem is only scrolling horizontal, scrolling vertically it is normal. Both sensitivity is at 70. As mentioned earlier it seems to be a hardware problem.

I didn't get it at Verizon, got it at best buy and they don't have anymore. I'm going to some party now an hour away from where I got it. I will be stopping back on the way home and getting a new one. If the best buy down here doesn't have one I will just return it and go to Verizon.

return it asap dude. it shouldnt be that slow unless the trackball sensitivity is all the way down.
one of those swipes on the home screen should go all the way from left to right. just return it straight up and buy it from verizon....see people buying direct is better in the long run, less hassle with issues. we have plenty of stock.Last edited by typesredline; 07-12-2009 at 03:47 PM.
