    IMO, audible roll is the most useless, annoying option my BB offers.
    If you've ever had to listen to someone sit near you and do some web browsing or whatever, you know what I'm talking about.

    you know, I've never even tested to see what the audible roll sounds like...I think I shall do that now out of curiosity.

    I've never had any reason to change mine from 70/70 since I bought it back in Oct. Trackball has worked great, the new trackpad is still looking sweet to me though...lol.

    The trackpad does look sweet, but I like the trackball better I had a 9700 and got used to the trackpad, but it sits flush to the panel, so there were times when I thought that I was swiping along the trackpad when I was actually swiping along the menu and back keys. The trackball provides more of a tactile feedback. And it seems to be more durable than the trackpad.

    I have a professor in a small class who plays on his BB while we are taking a test with his audible roll on. Talk about a concentration breaker.

    Thank you for the responses!

    I have had mine at the factory default 70/70 since I got my phone. I would like my trackball faster, more sensitive, so I'm going to try something higher. When you have to use a trackball on Opera it's SO slow.
