tour won't turn on...LED light does when charging.

Ok, I've been reading around on this forum for a few weeks trying to self fix my unlocked Verizon Tour (running on AT&T). The phone would not turn on for the longest time; the battery apparently wouldn't take a charge - the red light would come on, and then the screen would display the battery with a blue lightning bolt over it, but nothing else would happen. Even plugged in for days, the battery refused to take a charge, and didn't have enough juice to even power up the device.

So, I purchased a new battery from Amazon, put it in the phone, and plugged the phone into the wall. That was about 2 hours ago. The only thing the phone has done so far is the red light turns on for awhile, and then shuts off for around 8-10 seconds, then turns back on. Still can't power up the device, even with the new battery in it, and it's been charging for 2 hours now, as I said.

Any suggestions? I really miss my Blackberry :[

Will Desktop Manager recognize it? Try wiping and reloading OS? Take to your carrier store and have the tech look at it. May be hardware or software, idk.
