I just upgraded to the new OS and now my phone will not lock? I hit the k key and nothing. Put it in the holster with the settings set to lock when holstered and it doesn't lock then either. Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Try hitting the lock button at the top left of the device.

that will lock it but the shortcut and holster still will not lock it...

My friend upgraded to the new OS and his tour will still lock when K is touched or upon entering the holster. That is why I posted this thread for some help.

Press and hold the A key to lock the keyboard. Or just use the Lock Button as noted above.

And as noted, there are dozens of threads about the new locking procedures.

thanks for the help but my phone still will not lock when holstered and i have read the other threads. I can manually lock the phone, put it in the holster, pull it out and it is unlocked. It will never lock when i put it in the holster. What am I doing wrong?

Did you set a password for your blackberry? That's the only way it will lock when putting in the holster (with the newer OS). I did this yesterday and my Tour is locked when I pull it out of the holster.

Yes I set a password for the phone and it still will not lock when put in the holster. This is bizarre as I have done and read all there is with the new lock/standby settings with the new OS.
