Anyone here know when the Tour if ever will be released for AT&T?

Won't be.

But I guess you could grab one at full price, unlock it, and use it's SIM port for a ATT one.

It won't be released for AT&T. The Blackberry Tour is exclusive for Verizon and Sprint. Plus, The Tour is CDMA, AT&T is GSM. It basically just isn't compatible.

So the Tour wouldnt get full data speeds even if its unlocked? I notice when I search for network, it only says AT&T 2G or T-Mobile 2G

You will get Edge (2G) if you unlock the Tour and put in a AT&T sim card instead of CDMA's EVO/RevA (3G).

it would be silly to purchase a bold at this point..

the onyx is getting pretty close to launch...

I thought the Tour could get 3G data on AT&T? Beyond that get a Bold or wait for its successor, its a better overall device. And that is coming from someone who owns and loves the Tour.

No. No North American 3G. Single band UMTS 2100 overseas.
