I know there are a ton of threads on this but none of them seem to answer my questions completely so I am posting a new one here. I switched to Verizon about 3 weeks ago from AT&T because of 3G. I originally got the Droid but took it back and got the storm2 instead. Then through a one time thing I was able to re-exchange the storm2 back for the Droid. I want a diff phone again. I want either the Tour or Storm2. One thing I really liked about the Storm2 was threaded text messaging.

Now here are some of the questions I have in comparisons:

1.) What are the processors used in both the tour and storm?
2.) How big is the Tour's screen compared to AT&T'S Bold 9700?
3.) What is the resolution of the Tour compared to 9700?
4.) Is the browser on the Tour fast enough that you won't miss not having WiFi on it?
5.) How is the physical keyboard holding up compared to the Storm's virtual keyboard?

    Thank you for your responses!

First off the storm 2 is a very good phone if you are looking for a touchscreen phone with some screen size. I myself switched to the tour and never looked back. It will be a pain for you to switch phones....you always come back to bberry lol i do the same thing over and over again.

1.) Im going to say (don't quote me here) that they are very similar
2.) The screen size is the same (though keep in mind the 9700 has a bigger black border around the screen giving the effect of looking somewhat smaller.
3.) They both have the same res screen but keep in mind #2
    4) Yes and no - Depends what sites you visit and your coverage area. If you are not going to anything to mobile intensive than its good and speedy. Just download opera hehe.

I purchased the Storm2 and for the first few days I loved it...after that, I started realizing that I could not use that phone on a day to day basis without losing my mind! Typing on it is OK if you can take your time and concentrate...but most times, I'm not able to do that so I end up mis-spelling lots of things and having to backspace a lot...awesome phone, just not for me.
I swapped for the Tour and I LOVE my Tour...does most everything the Storm2 does, but IMO does it quicker and easier...I can type without even looking at the keypad on this thing! I can only answer questions 4 and 5, so here ya go....

    4) I tested the Storm2 wifi vs the 3G and it seemed virtually the same...then with the Tour it seems at least as fast if not faster, so you should be fine there.

    5) Well, I kinda answered this one above...some people have no issues at all with the touch keypad, but for me you can't beat physical buttons...

    Advantage: Tour (IMO)

it really just comes down to your preference on what you really want/need. i myself switched from att/iphone to verizon/tour. i moved to an area where att has 100% no service. i had to switch, luckily it was around the launch of the tour. honestly i do miss having a touch screen phone, but at the time i wanted a physical keyboard. so its all down to preference. def the droid is a sweet phone with both attributes id like. but id prob stay with the bb just cause its awesome
