Thank you for saying this. I was about to post something like: "If I take the battery out and chew on it for a few minutes, eventually it shocks me. Is anyone else having this problem?"

Check yours BEFORE you sign the paperwork!!!!
Had the EXACT same thing happened. Second one works perfectly. Covering it in my review.

The bad thing is that some posted issues are legite but other ones take away from it because they are grouped together. I love the speed of the phone, keyboard etc, but ...

My battery cover does shift up and down. The screen does ripple in the lower left and right corners when I use the end button or push on the trackball to open a folder/app. Nothing to do with touching the screen.

My advice is to forget the USB (except for synch) and get a dock for $10. Then turn on bedside mode when charging. The bedside clock mode is the coolest thing about my 8900, and I've never charged with USB. I wish my wife's Curve had the bedside mode.

My Razr's screen ripples when I push on it! Can I exchange it for a Tour?

The audible clicking sound associated with the trackball cuts in and out. And sometimes, you can hear I high pitched sound when you move the trackball. Probably disable that feature.

anybody else hearing this?

Three obvious problems are:

1. ESPN Mobile does NOT work. Maybe its user error but I keep getting "The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different url." No clue what this is about since ESPN Mobile has always worked flawlessly with

2. Lag is HORRIBLE at times. I mean, I roll the trackball and NOTHING for sometimes 3 seconds. Or I will press the trackball to select something and it just sits there for a few seconds. Similar things happened with my 8830 but I figured it was just bogged down after using it so long.

3. Try downloading Weathereye OTA. Impossible. Point here and try yourself. http://weyebb.pelmorex.com/BlackBerr...WeatherEye.jad

That's it so far but I've only been messing with it for an hour or so.

Have not read these yet, here are my thoughts... when will rim make a bb that boots faster, same speed as my 8330.

The cover on the back is a little loose and rattles when it shakes, no big deal

Has had a couple of moments where it sat and spun the hour glass.. .will give it 1-2 software upgrades and that will probably be fine

Why did they move the charger location, sux to use it and charge at same time.

Everything else is pretty smooth so far

Agree with the location of the charger- awful location!!! And also hate that the old chargers won't work for it..unless you have the storm.

As a huge bbm fan I am soooo upset that it doesn't say "NAME is typing..." That was by far the best thing in bbm. I would buy an app just to get that back!! Also the smileys are soo small but the new ones are great such as 'talk to the hand'

Any tips for the tour???

Agreed. while the new charger location is great for my car, it is horrible for using it while its charged since its akward with your right hand. As for the battery cover, this is actually exactly like my 8830 cover. It wiggles slightly but not to the point of annoyance or defection. I'm fine with the battery cover having a slight give to it. if i read prior reviews i probably would have known this but the keyboard keys are noticeably smaller on the tour than the 8830 so if you are going from the 8830 to this, typing is a bit clumsy at first but i'd imagine we'll get used to it. i will say though, that the 8830 keyboard size/feel is still my favorite.

Didn't see this thread. I can't setup my visual voicemail. It asks for my password but when I put it in it says wrong password or no account found. I called CS and they said that there's a problem with the Alltel settings merging with the VRZ settings. They put a ticket in for them to check it out but don't know how long its gonna take to fix. Anybody else having this problem?
