lets be honest its the fact that its new and looks good is the reason why most everybody is upgrading, you can talk about specs all you want, but its all about the fact that is a new bb. i point to most of the comments on this forum being about how what bezel it will have, accessories come with it, and its size compared to the bold and curve... i bet you really wont be able to tell too much difference in terms of performance from an 8330 (except of course the we capablites). I think rim is and has always been shallow with its creatvity in new devices, nothing revolutionary, even this "5.0" that everyone is getting so gitty about, there really isnt that much of a difference looking at 4.6. These acute changes are things we fall for and therefore they dont feel pressure to really pump huge money and evolutionary ideas into their research and development. a simple strategy that prolongs there relevance and saves them money. Im not knocking RIM because that is simple smart business strategy, and Im not knocking any of you (including myself) who support them. Its just the way it is
