Default Tmobile tour on ATT with no data

I did a search and could not find anything. My buddy owns a Rogers 9780 bold and has it unlocked. He is using it on the ATT network and is not using a data plan. I have a friend that will sell me his T-Mobile tour for a carton of cigarettes and I want to do the same thing. Is anybody else here using an unlocked Tour on the ATT network and not using data? I really just want a messaging phone and blackberry wins hands down as the best. Thanks everybody!

To get the data on your BB you would need a data plan, unless you are just using the phone call features.

Yeah all I want is a phone/messenger capabilities, trying to cut down on the phone bill. Wife has a iPhone 4 and wastes 25 bucks on the data...

You can search here on Crackberry for unlock codes. I know a few companies post some info on here. You would just need to unlock the t-mobile phone so you can use it on at&t.

Just a warning though, if the Blackberry gets caught up in AT&T IMEI sweep they will add the data plan on automatically, no way around it

Use a prepaid AT&T for that.

There's no such thing as a "T-Mobile Tour". What device is it really?
