Its where your texts show up in conversation form. Like IMs. Your conversations are seperated from each other so you don't have to double check who you're texting to if you got multiple texts going on with different people.

threaded sms will be available in the 5.0 OS update... Does anyone know when the update is suppose to release??? i heard around the end of the summer or early fall??

get your friends to all own bb's then you can all bbm each other and you'll be threaded! problem solved!! hehehe

Threaded SMS is one thing I am not looking foward to saying goodbye too (I have winmo). It's the best invention ever, and it's embarrassing that BB don't have it.

Lol. Wish it was that easy. My friends that do have BB's, we don't even use BBM. We just text each other the regular way.

That's what I don't understand. Why they don't have it. Like someone mentioned earlier they have it on bbm but not the SMS. I wouldn't even think about another brand of phone if they had it.

It's funny Justin, some people just prefer it. I have some friends with blackberries and they prefer texting, it drives me nuts!

Im really surprised that there is not a third party program for threaded SMS. Back in the day when I had my Treo 700wx (WinMo) we were able to install it from another Palm device.

Yea I downloaded 3Jam and its actually a pretty good app for this but it doesn't clear the SMS folder.
