Default Is there a way to transfer SMS messages to a new phone?

I've had my Tour for quite some time now and have enjoyed using it over the past couple years. It's now time for me to upgrade to a new phone and I'm thinking of switching to the HTC Thunderbolt. Does anyone know if there is a way for me to transfer the SMS messages I have on my Tour to the Thunderbolt (or any other non-BB for that matter)?

Thanks for any information anyone can give me on this matter!

How about forward them via email? That should do the trick just to get the text

Yeah, I'm thinking not. If you were switching blackberrys then, yeah. Considering you're wanting to switch platforms that's not likely. I'm hard pressed to believe there are any texts you can't live without on the new platform. I'm always sad to see a follow blackberry user go, but obviously the platform wasn't doing it for you. Good luck!

Connect your BB via the USB Port, run the BlackBerry Desktop Manjager, then click on DEVICE from the menu, then transfer device or switch device, it will then save all your settings, emails, messages, and will ask you to connect your new device

i dont think it saves the messages like they are on the old phone though. i have tried doing that with several 9700's and the problem i have is all my messages that i sent are in one message and the recipients are in another message
