Stuck in lock mode

My bb is stuck in lock(security) mode. I cant enter the password because the" K" key now isn't working and there is a "K" in my password. I cant use my bb now. When it rings I can only answer when I press the BB button and scroll to answer instead of just using the send button. Is this something that can be fixed, or should I just consider it paper weight now?

All you can do at this point is enter the password incorrectly the set number of times and allow the device to wipe. And then start over and be sure to set a password without that letter in it.

Hopefully, you have a backup of your data. If not, you can try to see if you can do a backup by entering the password on the computer using BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

You will still have to wipe the device in order to restore function.

I will try that thank you. I have the calendar and contacts synced to my gmail and have only stored pics and music to the memory card which I have already removed. The few apps I have I can get again. Been meaning to wipe it anyway.

Ok. I tried entering the password incorrectly 5 times then it says to enter "blackberry" to continue. But I cant.......

Weird (im not very tech savvy) I hooked my bb to the computer and went through the apps list and checked and unchecked a few boxes and clicked "apply" then the bb reset it self and now the "K" button works. Good!
