I havn't experienced this with my Tour but a similar thing happened to my old LG Dare. I had it plugged in next to me on my desk, it had been plugged in all night (as usual) when I caught a wiff of "microwaved cd's" - Atleast that's how I would describe it. Did you have your Tour connected with the charger when this happened?

No it was unplugged on the table for a couple of hours
