It's a shame the Verizon fanboyz don't know how to read.

Sprint has never and probably will never offer pre ordering on any of their phones.

It took me 4 hours before they let me walk out of the sprint store with my palm pre because they told me I needed to be trained... I knew how to use the phone better than the sales rep before she even took the phone out of the box.
I hope they don't do the same thing with the tour and make me wait hours before I can actually leave the store.

Someone earlier noted that not offering pre-ordering was poor customer service. Hogwash! Now this - this is Superior Customer Service. I bet she would have even showed you how to open the door or take a breath... [sarcasm intentional - even if not detected!]

I hope the training course was optional, as I wouldn't have the time to waste listening to someone talk when I could just open up the instruction manual.

For whatever its worth...when the 8350 nextel bb came out...it was available on my corporate sprint website at least 2-4 days ahead of regular release.
I hear ya!!! My birthday is the 17th and I'm ready for the upgrade!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!

How can they force you to stay??? I'd say give me the phone I paid full price for thanks I know how to use it.. I think it's cause all these older generation people get em and don't have a clue how to use a computer much less a smartphone

I wouldn't be me if I didn't ask, what did they do to make you stay?

Very well said Cheech. It is not that crucial, the phone will be out when its out simple as that. I would want to wait a little while until the get some of the bugs worked out of it.qq

Has there been any clarification to this? The Verizon stores seem to have the inventory level information filtering in as sunday draws closer. I really hope I can get my hands on the Tour on sunday!

I think it is unlikely to be launched at retail on Sunday at this point. I think we definitely would have heard more about it by now. Unfortunately.

No. Offically it is july 12th online and telesales only. 8-2-09 in store launch. Believe me . I'm waiting for this phone to . I have to order mine same as everyone else. I won't see the phone in my until 2-3 weeks after I got mine in the mail.

As for the time zone question * I'm not 100% sure on this but I'd say central time. Everything via corporate / call center is usually run cemtral time bc of there kansas city headquaters. Again I'm not exactly sure but that would be my quess.
