I just ditched my Touch Pro for the Tour and I have noticed one thing is that my signal is not as good. I'm not very knowledgable about all the different types of network service, CDMA, 3G, GSM etc but I did notice that I cant put my phone in the 3g without an SOS by my connection state. Do I need a special plan? And also, is there a way to upgrade or change the radio on my BB?
3G/GSM is for the International side/use of the phone. You want to have the phone on 1XEV and that will give you the proper signal. 1XEV is 3G, its the same thing, just CDMA's name for it.
