Today, I got a text from Verizon saying "A Family Share line on your account has been selected for a special offer and is now eligible for a new phone at our promotional prices with a new 2 year agreement."

I called and there are actually 2 lines eligible!!! I wasn't able to upgrade until January 2011, but now I can use one of these upgrades to get the Tour!

Good luck to him (and to you too, prov1ml). I got my Storm last November on the day the CA bar exam results came out. Hopefully your boyfriend's Tour will be a more streamlined gift than my Storm was for myself.
