    It should shut off automatically based on your setting in:

    Options > Screen/Keyboard > Backlight Timeout (time you selected)

    Hmmm, good question. Now I can't remember if the backlight does time out during a phone call. I think OP might be right that it doesn't. I'll try to notice tomorrow and find the answer.

    My screen turns off and the home row of keys stay lit. As ssax said, backlight timeout.

    Same here. The screen shouldn't stay on for more than 2mins during a call (depending on backlight timeout setting).

    screen shuts off, keypad stays lit during a call. based on the settings you have in options under screen/keyboard
