Shortcuts for Blackberry Tour 9630
- Thanks, this has been suggested before. When I do this it brings up a new email message, NOT a new SMS message.
Maybe you have a separate SMS inbox, or don't have your email in Messages...
I use the Messages inbox to show email, SMS, and BBM.
(I have my separated email & SMS inbox Icons hidden.)07-31-09 12:09 PMLike 0 - Here's something cool not mentioned:
In any typing field (I.e. Email, SMS, BBM, etc) try typing "mypin" or "mynumber" or "myver" and see what happens after you press Space or Enter...
It's insane how much stuff RIM hides in these things!

Some other helpful Tips
In almost all apps - To close use BB MENU - C - Enter
Some apps such as Google Maps use "Exit" not Close so repeat same except instead of 'C' use 'E.'
Hope this is helpful.09-07-09 09:38 PMLike 0 -

Z toggles between Column & Page View.
L gives you Link info (much like P for your current page); however, you must have the cursor on the link.
ESC and DEL will both go back one webpage. I prefer DEL as ESC can accidentally close the Browser if you mistakenly hold it for too long instead of just clicking it.
Plus like with many Apps, SPACE is Page Down and SHIFT+SPACE is Page Up.

Don't be one those bad BlackBerry emailers that always cuts everyone else out of an email thread!
Also, SPACE is Page Down (as per my last post re Browser too).
N & P go to the Next or Previous date.
U toggles between Unread messages.
ALT+U marks a message read or unread.
S is Search and V is for your Saved messages.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com09-08-09 03:31 AMLike 0 - For a quick shortcut to find your pin number or to send it to someone:
When sending a message (I believe any kind. I tried sms, bbm, and email)
Type: my$pin (without the money sign, no space between my and pin)
After you type the "n" in pin press space and it auto changes

EDIT: Neverrrrrr miiiiiind!! LOL Found it. (smacking forehead with open right hand - DUH!)Last edited by TOphotog; 09-12-09 at 11:32 AM.
09-12-09 11:22 AMLike 0 - Pls clarify where I would find this option on my Tour? I've checked all the categories under OPTIONS icon but can't find. This would be great if I didn't have to press pw numbers to check voicemail while driving!
EDIT: Neverrrrrr miiiiiind!! LOL Found it. (smacking forehead with open right hand - DUH!)
For any others confused:
-press SEND (the green phone button),
-press MENU (the BB button to left of trackball),
-press O to skip to Options,
-press the BB button or ENTER or trackball to select,
-scroll one down to Voicemail and click,
-type in your password!
-TIP: add a # at end of password (faster for most carriers)
Anyway, glad you figured it out. I just hope you were holding your Tour in your LEFT hand when you smacked your forehead!
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com09-12-09 01:29 PMLike 0 - Is there a way to assign shortcuts to keys? i'm looking to assign a shortcut to activate the speaker phone while on an active call...09-14-09 01:34 PMLike 0
- Press the $ key during a call to activate the speaker phone. It has a red speaker symbol above it.
