Is there a shortcut to convert the battery meter into a % display. Looked here but couldn't find it. Thanks

Yes, but, sorry, I don't recall. It is an ALT and some letters.

I am still looking but you can also change the display of the 'signal strength' on your screen to read in real numbers. While at the home screen, hold down the ALT key while you type NMLL.

Alt+shift+H will bring up a screen that will display it as a percentage. I have not found a way to change it on the home screen like the signal meter. There are themes that display it as a percentage..

I believe the battery meter is theme controlled. You can have a look in the themes section to find one with a battery meter in percentage.

The above is correct, it is theme controlled.

Try a free "3G Tour" theme, it has that feature (search for it)

The 3g theme that jpatterson350 built for the vzw tour has the battery % in it. Its in the 9630forum page. 3g for everyone. It works great. There is no ota link but loads up in mins using desktop manager.
