    Hi All,
On my 9630, I am able to move, edit or delete all my speed dial #s except the letter "W" which is set (not by me) to voice mail. I'd like to be able to set the letter "W" to the # of my choice. When I highlight "W" and hit the menu button, all that pops up is Help, Call Voice Mail, Switch App and Close. When I highlight any other speed dial letter I get a full menu of edit, move, delete etc.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanx in advance,
    Al

The number "1" on Verizon phone has always been set for voice mail. I also had a speed dial issue when my old "Q" speed dial is now set to change profile to Vibrate.

I just figured it out this morning.

    Hit the Green button (call)
    Then hit the menu button
Click on "View Speed Dial List"
Scroll to the one you want to change
Hit the ENTER (return carriage) button
Then you can pick a new contact

    4. Select Voice Mail
    5. In the Access Number field confirm your voicemail number / change

Tried it but my password field only accepts the #sign and numbers. It does nothing when a letter is pressed.

This worked well, but I had to use the menu key to select "Add Pause". Worked perfectly when I tried it.

You have to hit the RETURN key on it. You can't type / delete, / menu button into it. You have to actually hit the RETURN key.

I just did it on mine 2 days ago.

I was able to get my speed dials entered from 2-9 but wanted to set up the automatic password when I hit 1 / voicemail button. Can't seem to figure out how to type in the P1234#? Everytime I hit a P it does nothing...only accepts numbers? What am I missing....?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Are there any other "shortcuts" that you can manually add to speed dials, like the "Lock System", "Vibrate", etc...??

It would be really nice if you could set one to send a text, open a webpage, etc.

Very keen for this as well. Would like to add an additional shortcut to send my phone into PHONE ONLY or even PHONE ONLY and BEDSIDE MODE.

    Try this....

    Hit the Green Call Button....
    Hit the BB (Menu) Button...
    Hit Options....
    General Options....
Set Dial From Home Screen to NO.

Unfortunately, this disables the Speed Dial Option. Not sure if you can edit the shortcuts though.

make the change in Phone Options in Options Menu - this is where the voicemail number is stored and it defaults to the W#1 key in the speed dial list (which incidentally you can't edit or delate from the speed dial list!)
