    How can I go down a list of messages and highlight some of them and not others, and then delete the highlighted ones? Thanks, Joe

    You can't, delete them individually using the delete key.
    Or if they are sequential hold the uppercase button and scroll then use delete key.

    If they are all from the same sender or have common words in the subject, you can do a search on those words/names then mass delete.

    Here is a quicker way to filter, then delete specific messages. Set up Saved Searches.

    For example, if i want to delete all messages from my cousin, i hit alt + k. This brings up all her messages and i can then hit menu-delete prior.

    You can also set up the filter to bring up just MMS or SMS etc.
