I sent an sms message earlier and on my end it has the intended message of "he what's up love" but the recipient said it came in saying "hey whatt's ugured a"

What could this be?

I haven't had a 5.0 OS installed yet, so I have no idea what the issue with scrambled SMS is. But I can point you to the OS/Hybrid material, at a minimum. Good luck with this problem.
