Default Running straight to VZW for your Tour?

I was wondering how many of you will be running out to the VZW store the day that the Tour hits to go and buy it? And how many of you are going to wait and let someone else be the guinea pig for the Tour and see their reviews on it? I remember when the Storm came out it was like a rush of wild animals and those people weren’t even happy with their Storm.

I am going to wait and read some reviews before I jump and go buy the Tour. I want to make sure it is going to be a solid phone in the end and something that I am going to be completely happy with like my 8330 curve.

I'll be there. Can't say I'll be in line when they open, but I'll be there.

Oh I am so sorry that you went and got the Storm. I played with one and knew right then that the storm was not for me. So are you going to be able to get your upgrade back for the Tour?

Well, I'll be getting it the first day. If I don't like it I'll just return it within 30 days.

My wife needs a new phone and convinced her to go Blackberry, the Tour to be exact

So I'll be playing with it & checking it out when I set it up for her. I've got a Storm and frustrated with its overall lagginess. My 8830 (VZW) was fast and navigation/responsiveness was fast. I'm thinking the Tour will be similar if not better.

I'll probably hit the store near work shortly after I start my workday... if not then I may have to spend my lunch hour there.

Oh, btw...

I am going to order it online for a couple of reasons:

1) If there is any kind of discount/rebate, the online one is instant while the in-store one is a mail-in-rebate.

2) I want to unbox it myself without some Verizon rep ripping it out of its box.

Same here. The mailing time won't be that long. Let's just be happy if it is in fact released in July as opposed to later.

I am forced to wait because I can't do an upgrade until December (Christmas gift to myself ). I would still probably wait a little bit anyway though. Hopefully, by the time I am able to get a new Blackberry the Tour, Atlas, Odin and anything else in the pipeline will all be out and I can play with everything then. The other plus is that people will have already started developing themes and apps specifically for OS 5.0 and a few leaked OS upgrades will probably be out there. I will also get to sit back and read the reviews and complaints before I go out and make a purchase. These are all the things I keep telling myself while I know that I will be bright green with envy towards everyone of you luck SOBs that will get this phone on release day. If it gets too bad, I can always add a line and pick one up. My son is 5 right now so he needs a blackberry, right?

I'll sit at my PC at 11:55PM the eve of the launch and order it from the site. I can wait one more day for it to be delivered to me.

I really wanted to wait for it, but my old phone wasn't going to make it till July. I ended up buying an 8830 on eBay, and I'm loving it so far, I'm not really sure whether I'll upgrade or not. I want to, but right now I don't have to worry about a contract or anything, so I'll have to weigh the pros and cons.
