I have looked around the forums to see if there was a solution to this problem but I didn't find any that matched my problem.
When I receive a text message and open it my ringtone will play and won't stop till the ringtone is done. I believe this happened with 5.0.0.591 (MR2). When I had 5.0.0.591 (MR1) on my phone I don't believe this would happen.
What I am used to is when I receive a text and I open the text the ringtone would stop playing.
Any suggestions?

Mine does that too. What I did to fix mine was, I got an Incredible.

It's an OS bug.

Do a battery pull to reset the device.

Downgrade the OS if it keeps happening.


Or do what supermario did if you are so inclined.

Or just load up Sprint's .484 unless you want PTT.
