    I pulled off the plastic ear piece cover and then pulled the phone apart. The best thing to do is to use a tweezers to pull up the actual buttons and then very gently lift up the electrical connector on the reverse side of the bezel. Go slow and be careful because if you damage the ribbon wires the button won't work.

    Here's what I did. I started a pot of boiling water, and after that starts to steam, I used an oven mit to hold the bezel by itself over the water, and tweezers to remove that once the glue is warm and easy to remove. This way, the buttons don't get damaged if you rip them off with just tweezers... This loosens the glue nicely. the heat won't hurt the bezel by itself either, since no other parts are attached.

    Reading the "steaming water" method, maybe use a hair dryer - lessen the chances of dropping the BB into the boiling water - BB ala Newburg!!!
