So i love my tour with all my heart. Now I wanna make it even better and I keep seeing OS 5.0 leaks and its making me very curious. Can somebody please send me in the right direction? What are your thoughts on the usability of OS 5.0? How would my apps react to it? Where can I download it? It would be of great help so that I can research as much as I can before making the big leap from 4.7 to 5.0. Thanks in advance guys!

I upgraded to 5.0 and then came back down. I have three 3rd party apps that didn't like the leaked version. Vlingo, QuickPull and QuickLaunch.

That said, 5.0 has some big improvements. Threaded SMS (very nice!!) and they have put the advanced editing back on sound profiles.

I am waiting for an official version before going back though. I have heard good things about the hybrids, but I am staying put for now.

When 5.0 initially was leaked, several apps didnt work with it (facebook/myspace/certain messengers). Now that RIM has updated those apps and such, I find 5.0 much more enjoyable.

I run 5.0 and for extra apps I have: yahoo messenger, AIM, BBM 5.0, facebook, myspace, myverizon, TFLN, SocialScope, Monopoly, CaptureIt, Visual Voicemail, and VCast Song ID. They all work perfectly fine.

I personally love 5.0; my battery life is insane (except when I leave Monopoly running, then my battery died). I really like my threaded SMS too.

I ran 5.0 for a while but had similar issues with third party apps. mainly quick launch. went back to 4.7. 5.0 has some great features but just not for me yet

Haha I want threaded sms but I have too many apps that I use regularly that aren't compadibile.

I suggest running 5.0.230 with Irtehun's 5.0v5 hybrid installed. Solid as a rock with all the bells and whistles of 5.0 OS. All my apps work, which isnt many, but whatever.

I've tried on 3 occasions to download 5.0.0.230 but have had the same problems. Occasionally I don't get calls and everytime I download, I can't get my computer to recognize my phone through the usb. I have to go through a bunch of steps just so I can downgrade to 4.7 so I can sync my phone.

Quicklaunch works fine on .230. I have it and use it all the time

I was initially wary of installing a leaked OS but this is my ninth time reinstalling the 4.7.1.40 (VZW) OS. This is pissing me off.
