Does anyone know how to change the sequence when dailing a phone number? Ex right now it dials like this "8884353456" I would like it to separate the numbers "888-435-3456".

    Thanks

You mean adding pause between numbers?

I think the OP meant separating the numbers like we have on any other decent phone. Makes it easier to dial and not make mistakes.

This is why, taken from somewhere else:

I doubt RIM will add it. The 3-3-4 format is North American. Other countries use different format. How is the phone supposed to know what format to use?
Taking into consideration that a lot of BB's are world phones.

Is it possible? Of course. Is it that high of a concern or worth implementing at this point? I kinda doubt it...

If you have a phone number in your contact list, you can add the "-" by just dialing the I key, no alt. I've never tried to add the hyphen when dialing a number not in my contact list
Edit: nope can't add it whie manually dialing, turns the whole thing to letters!
