**Question for anyone using Telus**
I've had my tour for about 3 weeks or so, I didn't buy any warranty package or anything but now I'm starting to think I should.
Anyone know if I can still do that or is it too late?
Also, is it too late to exchange my tour for a new one if I'm having any problems...or did I only have 14 days for that?
thank you... I am a noobJuly 21, 2009: first ever blackberry...will never be going back to anything else! - 08-13-2009, 02:56 PM #2
if you are having issues with it you have a 30 DOA return policy in place. as long as the rep in the store can recreate the issue they should swap it for you...
and did you purchase it over the phone or through a corp store or a dealer?
i don't know how telus corp/over the phone is handled, but each dealership works differently when it comes to extended warranties. where i work now it is only at the time of purchase but elsewhere where i have worked you can do it up to the 1 year mark.
so check with them! - 08-13-2009, 03:49 PM

Hey thanks, I just ordered it over the phone from Telus and they just mailed it to me...
So I'm guessing they'd tell me to go into a local telus store and have someone working there check it out...?
Basically I just get dropped calls, lose battery door, some freezes/lag etcJuly 21, 2009: first ever blackberry...will never be going back to anything else! - 08-13-2009, 05:05 PM #4
Telus is 30 days? Bell is only 15 days (for Blackberry phones ) I tried to exchange it within my 15 days for low signal reception and everytime they told me to wait for OS upgrades. Even customer support told me to wait for OS upgrades and told me not to worry that since I had complained a few times within my 15 days ,they would exchange it even after that period. Today I was told that it is most probably a hardware issue (internal antenna)and OS upgrade would not fix this. So I headed to the store to exchange it and both the store and Bell themselves refused. This is the last time I get locked up in a contract with Bell. I have 5 phones with them and am switching to either Telus or Rogers. Bye Bye Bell , you s**k

I was at day 28 of owning a tour and went in complaining about horizontal scrolling and muffled sounding calls. They didn't have any phones to swap with, but have ordered one and I will get a call when it comes in. The Telus rep started doing the paperwork as soon as I told him the problem.
