Hi to all!!!
I have some problems installing "whatsapp" un my 9630.

First: after the installation, the phone says that whatsapp try to open incoming and outcoming unauthorized connection through the firewall;

Second: when i try to sign my phone number, i sends this message: Unexpected error:java.lang.securityexception: permission denied;

what's happen??? i try to reinstall, change settings of firewall, change authorization for the program but nothing change....

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Are you running 5.0 operating system. I think I tried installing whatsapp with 4.0 and it did now work.

Yes i'm running 5.0 operating system, and watching on BB apps site, it says whatapp it's compatible with 9630 running on 5.0 os!!!

I have the 9630 running "whatsapp" on os5.0. Do you have skype on your phone? I had a problem at first getting both on my phone. If I remember correctly, I had to unistall skype, install whatsapp, then reinstall whatsapp. If you have skype, you might try uninstalling it and then installing whatsapp.

oh, and I think you need to allow whatsapp to edit the permissions it needs as well when installing

I've never installed skype and when i install whatsapp i let it edit all it needs...
this error can be due to the fact my phone is an american 9630 with verizon carrier unlocked and switched on TIM Italy carrier?

I have an american 9630 on verizion, but it is not unlocked. Sorry I could not help you, perhaps if you posted on the "blackberry apps" discussion, there is a thread entitled "official-whatsapp-messenger-support-thread"
