Problem switching network from GSM to CDMA.
Dear all,
First of all I would like to apologize if similar question/discussion had been asked. I tried searching using several keyword, but nothing came up. And since there are hundreds of pages in the 9630 forum alone, I figured it's faster to just start a new thread rather than searching all the hundreds of pages.
I live in Indonesia and I recently bought a used unlocked Verizone 9630 from a reputable used Blackberry store. The phone was injected with a local CDMA number, and I also use a GSM SIM card. I use my GSM number for BIS, since the CDMA number I use does not have BIS yet.
I am not able to make or receive any phone calls everytime I switched from GSM to CDMA right away. I have to leave the phone in CDMA mode for a very very long time (up to 24hrs) before I can make and receive any phone calls. But there are no problem in the GSM mode. I am able to use the phone right after I switch it from CDMA. The store owner was kind and responsible enough to change my unit with another one that he had. But same thing happened to the second unit.
Questions:
Are there any special steps that i need to take to switch from GSM mode to CDMA mode?
My 9630 is running on OS 5.0.0.983 (Bundle 1631, Platform 4.2.0.433)
Thank you very much for any help.
