Pre-orders ship 13th but phone released 12th?

Hey guys, so i saw on verizons pre-order page that the tours will ship on the 13th, but doesn't the phone come out on the 12th? so am I better off just getting it at a verizon store on the 12th? im probably headed to the store today to ask anyway but i just thought i should ask here.

12th is a Sunday. You may be hard pressed to find a store that will be open with available stock for you to purchase. I highly recommend using online ordering.

Ok, well i had no problem getting my voyager on release day from my local store. Im gonna ask them today if they're gonna have it on release day and if they're expecting a lot of demand for it. I can probably be there when they open but im not camping out.

don't order online unless you really want the instant rebate and not the mail in rebate. i'll be at the store first thing sunday morning. i have confirmed that they will be open and will have it available if you're there early. i'll have mine sunday morning while everyone else who preordered will be waiting till tuesday

so the rebate is mail in if i buy in a store? how does that work, is it refunded to my credit card or are they going to give it back in a different way?

Could be wrong, but usually with rebates they mail you a check.

yeah same thing. it's pretty quick. usually like 2-3 weeks.

Since you can't ship on a sunday (the 12th) then it has to be shipped the 13th (monday).

The rebates with verizon come to you as a rebate visa debit.

So what if its a Sunday? VZW stores are open. If you get to the store an hour before hand, you'll be fine.
