I have noticed that I get dropped calls where I have never before, I had a curve before the tour and the reception was always crystal clear with full bars most of the time.

Do any of the reset or re sync things work?

Could it be device specific ?

    Should I contact VZW?

    Thanks

many threads on this issue. Neither RIM nor carriers have addressed it yet. No fix available yet. I know because I'm on my 3rd Tour, and still have the problem... Seems to be either MEID related and tower compatibility or perhaps just a poor radio portion of the OS

For signal and battery life, if you are on vzw and don't travel out of the country often, do this:
Go to options>mobile network>make sure network technology is set to 1XEV.
Pull your battery and pull the sim card.
Put the battery back in and after reboot, call *228 and select option 1.

Helped a ton on my Storm, even more on my Tour.
I have signal in 3 known dead zones now.

    Nope.
    Put it somewhere safe.
This is part of the problem.
On vzw, in the USA, you don't need it.
