Angry Please help my Blackberry Tour keeps rebooting by itself?

Alright so on Saturday, I woke up and my Blackberry Tour just started rebooting by itself randomly.

Then the Blackberry sign and the white bar appeared and when it was full loading, it would do the same process all over again.

If I plug it back in the charger it runs without any problems but the Battery is at one bar fully drained.

Which doesn't make sense because it had 100% when I woke up.

I tried taking out the battery, reinstalling the OS, everything.

I recently downloaded an app called Kik Messenger and I heard apps can cause the problem so I deleted it, but still same problem.

Is there a problem with my battery? or OS? or is it time for me to get a new blackberry tour???

I've had this phone for exactly 1 year now and I haven't come across such a weird problem. It was sooo random too.

Time for a new battery. Had similar experiences with a failed battery in the past. With TEP on Sprint, I've been able to walk into a service center and walk out with a brand new battery at no charge. Truthfully, they didn't even check that I had TEP. They hooked me up. On Amazon, I use the vendor CellLounge to get my spares, they've been solid, and you're looking at $4 approximately, delivered, quickly.

BergerKing are you sure it's not a problem with the OS or an app of some sort??

Can anyone else confirm if this is a battery problem or not?

Or an OS problem.

Please.

I've recently discovered the same prob with my Tour. But, most off the time, I dropped it, picked it up, and noticed the reboot screen. I chalked it up to being beaten up. I also had mine for nearly a year, it will be in December. Also, only major prob until now. So, Kev, if you find out for sure what it is, please post. Good looking!

I'm having the exact same problem with frequent rebooting. And even worse, it's draining my battery like crazy. I guess I'll try ordering a new battery on line and see if that helps.

You could always try reinsalling the OS as it costs nothing other than about a half hour or so of your life...

If that doesn't solve it, the options of replacing the battery or calling customer service to see if they'll replace the device are still on the table...

kevst3r, what OS are you running? When I 'upgraded' to 983 I had problems with numerous random reboots & reinstalled 975. No more random reboots.

My Tour is doing this as well, minus the battery problems. The BB just reboots by itself at random times. Let's see if I can crash it

*evil laugh*

As a sprint technician I've seen this a few times....what happens when you plug a charger into it? Does it have a symbol with a line going through it? Chances are yes you do need a new battery

My VZW tour (OS .975) will be fully charged and after about 30 minutes the battery will jump from around 96% to 4% and then the phone turns itself off due to low battery. Tried reloading the OS and battery pulls to no prevail. No sensors are red on the phone or battery and it just started doing this about a week or so ago. Going to ebay to pick up a extended life battery and hopefully it fixes this problem.

Honestly, this is a huge problem. I went from .983 and had the random reboots and battery drain, yesterday I downgraded back to .975 and had the same random reboots I don't know what is going on. I even loaded a fresh OS and only transferred contacts and calendar entries. This is ridiculous.
