Hello fellow Tour Addicts,

I am eagerly awaiting the Tour just you like but I did have a couple of questions that I didn't see answered yet.

(1) Does the Tour seem plasticky like the Curve? The reason why I ask is the chrome around the edges seems to give the appearance that the device is more solid with a premium feel to it than the curve.

(2) As a side note, will it be released with 5.0?

It really feels way more solid than the curve. WAY MORE.

And about the OS.... I was just about to ask the same question. The last one I got (and came from a carrier, not from RIM people) is running on the 4.7.1.20

Its quick and it doesn't reboot all the time, but some things are still not working in it....

Good question! I was wondering that too. If the internals of the tour are pretty much identical to the storm. How hefty will it feel. I wonder if it will be as light as the 8330?

Ive been wanting to know that also, as the curve 8900 has abit of a plastic feel going on but i cant work out why as on here everyone is saying the chrome bit is the same as the bold... so im confused. BUt unlike the bold the tour doesnt have that hard battery back but im sure it will be similer solidness... hopefully

i believe that leaked spec sheet put it at 130g, whereas the storm is 155, i believe. (bold 136, curve2 110)

I would imagine that the Tour would feel as the Bold does. Doesn't feel plasticy to me.

Storm - 5.5 oz

Signficantly lighter than the Storm, slightly lighter than the iPhone/Pre/Bold.

its 4.6 ounces and it has plastic on it..

and its more likely to not ship with 5.0 cx stated that 5.0 is slated to be released in the fall..

I'm hoping it feels pretty solid as well. I had a LG VX8700 before I got my Pearl and that thing was built like a tank. Loved it.

Why are people so obsessed with whether or not the phone has a 'plasitcky' feel? I just don't get it. As long as it doesn't break, who cares?
