I am wondering can I have my password enabled to use bedside mode and a dock when I use my 9630 and then my 9650 as an alarm clock w/bedside mode, or is it easier to just disable the password and re-enable it in the morning?
You should be able to use your Tour in bedside mode and still have the alarm go off when planned without any worry about the password function. I have a password set on my Tour and use it as my alarm each morning. When the alarm goes off, it will go to the Open/Snooze/Dismiss screen immediately. You don't have to input your password to do anything with the alarm. That would not be good at 5am. Give it a test run and see what happens. Good luck.
My device is set to lock after an hour of inactivity. Every morning the phone does whatever it was scheduled to do, including incoming SMS, emails and calls.
