I dropped my phone in a toilet and have now received my replacement. I have a Tour 9630 with OS 4.7.1.57. This will not cut it guys. My last 9630 had OS 5.0.0.419 and it was good.

My carrier is Sprint and their latest supported OS is 5.0.0.484. Is this the latest and greatest OS from RIM? If not, what is? I don't care about what Sprint supports or does not support. I just want the best OS available right now.

Please help me out and provide a prior post or link where I can get the .exe and instructions on how to upgrade. I remember getting rid of a vendor.xml file before....something like that.

    Thanks for your help!

Which is the best depends on perspective. All I can say is download & install .484. If you like it, great & if not, downgrade back to .419.

.591 is the newest official OS but I highly recommend .484 over any other 5.0 leak or official OS.

    B. Luck...just go to this link and download the latest supported operating system for Sprint. Connect your phone to your machine and run the .exe file. You should be fine.

I just wasn't sure if anyone thought going beyond 5.0.0.484 was worth it.
