I get as far into the update as boot ROM step, and then a red LED light comes on my tour, and then a "fatal error" msg come on the DM, my phone reboots with nothing wrong with it but not updated.... why is it freezing at that stage how do i fix that? help pllsss
that or if you copy of the current one if you hybrid or a leaked version. I had to do this once and I used a 3rd party app call blackberry swiss army knofw (BBSK) to clear the device and install the OS. You will need and computer and the BB desktop software as well.
PLease provide info what carrier you are on and we can help get a copy of your OS
Okay - most likely in my opinion it would be an applcation or theme you have that is not compatible with that version. BBSAK will remove everything from the device. Hope you had a good backup. With clean device, it should install clean, but you will need to reinstall apps and themes, unless you have that backup. The same things identical things happened to me.
In my case, poynt gave me some headaches while upgrading but luckily my upgrade was almost done when it happened and was able to unplug b4 it was finished and was able to restore afterwards. Lastraid's advice would be your best option.
