Hey guys might be a dumb question but I'm relatively new to the downloading new software thing w/ a BB. But I downloaded to leaked OS 5.0.0.230 from bbleaks.com and now that it is downloaded to my computer how do I get it onto my phone? Or do I need to go to bbleaks.com on the phone itself and download that way? Thanks for your help.

no you can download it to either BBSAK or Desktop Manager...your choice....

Sometimes you have to delete the vendor.xml file as well for the DM to recognize it.

Thanks for the help guys. My buddy has the new OS on his storm and I've been trying to figure it out forever. I can't even figure out how to dowload the new OS to DM. All I can do is save the file when I download it from bbleaks.com

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader Then just delete vendor.xml
Might be just Program files if you have a 32 bit OS.

OK I admit it, i'm a ******.
I also DL'd this to my PC desktop. Now what?
I tried to somehow get it into desktop manager but nothing works, the shrink a os popped up and I thought I shrunk it but I have no idea how to get it to my phone.
Please explain it step by step like you would to a 3 year old.
I think i ran the shrink a os twice but i have no idea where the files went to.
So if you could take it from "I have the installer on my desktop".

Then go to mycomputer

C/programfiles/commonfiles/rim/os/ then click app loader

(The extension is something like this may be a little off)

Ok great news. Some kind of error and now I get nothing but the white screen of death.
I cant even roll back because my BB is no longer recognized by my PC.

I downloaded BlackBerry Tour 9630 OS 5.0.0.273 from BBLeaks.com and had a terrible time with it from the onset. I must have done 20+ battery pulls over a 48 hour period before I reverted back to 4.7. For some reason the battery was not charging with the 5.0 version and the signal was disappearing in areas that my wife who has a Tour 9630 as well were full bars. Also, the devise was freezing up on me. When it was working I did like it but I am not sure what I was doing wrong!

I have downloaded the os several times, even erased the vendor file, and I cant get the dm to pick it up. What am i doing wrong. I am going crazy.
