    Well it finally happend and the trackball went out on my Tour ..... the horizontal scroll wouldn't move ....up and down was great ....but no side to side ....... took it in to Sprint , they said they would look at it and asked if I had insurance on it ..... I said yes ....but I know there are problems with the trackball on the Tours ........ she didn't say anything ...... I came back to the store after a half Hour of them looking at it ...... the gal comes out with a brand new Tour and says sorry they couldn't fix my old one, unrepairable....... unreparaible ? ...... who cares I got a brand new phone and there where no questions asked ...... Seems Sprint is finally getting there customer service right .......

    Same thing happened to me, though it was within the first 30 days.

    I had mine since Sept. but since it was my first BB I never knew how a trackball should feel ....... my new phone does feel different than my old .......

    I'm going to assume this was after the 30 days?

    This is good to know, I'll have to try this if I encounter a dead trackball that can't be fixed via paper strips!
